From downtown Decatur, the Historic Union Depot is easily accessible on foot. Head northwest on 2nd Avenue Southeast, then turn left onto Railroad Street Northwest. The depot will be on your left, a short walk from the Morgan County Archives.

NARCOG Transit provides public transportation in Decatur. Call (256) 580-2088 at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride to the depot. A one-way trip within the city costs $2, payable in exact change. Connect cards are available for $20.

If driving, approach the depot via US-31/6th Avenue. Turn west onto Railroad Street NW. Limited free street parking is available. Alternatively, paid parking is available at the City Parking Deck downtown, with rates starting at $0.50 per hour. The deck is located at 109 Moulton Street at the intersection of First Avenue Southeast.
