    From downtown Huntsville, take Governors Drive (Highway 431) southeast up Monte Sano Mountain. Follow Governors Drive to the top, then turn left onto Monte Sano Boulevard. Continue for approximately 2.5 miles, then turn right onto Nolen Avenue SE. Follow Nolen Avenue for 1 mile to reach the park entrance. Parking is available throughout the park near trailheads and points of interest. Daily entrance fee is $5 for adults (ages 12+), $2 for children (ages 4-11) and seniors (62+).

    While there is no direct public transportation to Monte Sano State Park, you can take a Huntsville city bus to a nearby location and then use a ride-sharing service to complete the journey. Take the bus to a convenient transfer point, such as the intersection of Governors Drive and Monte Sano Boulevard.
