Bus
From Prattville, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the corner of Main Street and 4th Street. Board the Montgomery Area Transit System (MATS) bus number 6 towards Montgomery. The bus will take you directly into Montgomery. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of Dexter Avenue and Washington Avenue. From there, walk east on Dexter Avenue for about 5 minutes until you reach the Alabama State Capitol at 600 Dexter Ave.

Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local rental service in Prattville. Start by heading south on Main Street until you reach the intersection with 6th Street. Turn left and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Highway 31. Follow the bike path along Highway 31 south towards Montgomery. After about 8 miles, continue on the bike path until you reach Dexter Avenue. Turn left on Dexter Avenue, and the Alabama State Capitol will be on your right after a short ride.

If you prefer to walk, start at the Prattville Town Hall located at 101 West Main Street. Head south on Main Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with 6th Street. Turn right onto 6th Street and walk straight until you reach Highway 31. Cross the highway and continue to follow the sidewalk leading into Montgomery. This is a longer walk of approximately 10 miles, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Once you reach Montgomery, walk towards Dexter Avenue, and the Alabama State Capitol will be located at 600 Dexter Ave.
