Walking
From the center of Himarë, the castle is approximately a 45-minute steep uphill hike. Follow the main road (SH8) north for about 2.5 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Himara Castle. The path is steep and can be challenging, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
Car/Taxi
From Himarë, follow the SH8 road north for about 2.5 kilometers. The drive to the parking area near the castle entrance takes approximately 10 minutes. Parking is free but can be crowded during the summer months. A taxi from Himarë to the castle costs approximately 500-700 LEK.
Bus
Local buses run from Himarë towards the castle. Check local schedules for the most up-to-date information. The bus will drop you off near the main road, from where you will need to walk uphill for about 10-15 minutes to reach the castle entrance. A single bus fare is around 150 LEK.
