Peace Bell: A Symbol of Hope and Remembrance

The Peace Bell, a significant monument in Tirana, serves as a powerful reminder of Albania's journey through turmoil and its aspirations for peace. Crafted from 20,000 spent gun cartridges, the Peace Bell was created in the aftermath of the 1997-2000 crisis. The cartridges used to construct the bell were collected by children from the northern region of Albania.
