According to the legend, Rozafa, the wife of one of three brothers who were trying to build the castle, agreed to be sacrificed on the condition that her right breast, eye, hand, and foot be left exposed so she could continue to nurse her infant son. A sculpture near the entrance commemorates this poignant story.Inside the castle walls, visitors can explore remnants of different eras, including the Church of St. Stephen, which was transformed into the Mosque of Sultan Fatih during the Ottoman period. The castle also houses a museum with artifacts detailing its history and the broader region.
