Skënder Skënduli, a prominent landowner, built the house, which originally boasted 64 windows, 40 doors, 12 rooms and 9 fireplaces. Visitors can explore the house's many rooms, each telling a story through lavish frescoes, antique furniture, and intricate woodwork. The main guest room (oda) is particularly noteworthy for its decorated ceiling and wooden poles. The house also features unique elements like an internal and external staircase. The Skënduli family reacquired the house after it was used as the Ethnographic Museum during the communist era and now welcomes visitors. Skënduli House offers panoramic views from its terrace, providing a scenic backdrop for exploring Albania's rich heritage. The house's design includes practical and elegant features, such as 64 windows strategically placed to capture sunlight throughout the day and uniquely constructed chimneys. The fortified walls, numerous loopholes, and sophisticated door locks also highlight its defensive function.
