From the center of Berat, start at the suspension bridge and follow the road to the right onto Rruga Mihal Komnena. This cobblestone path leads uphill towards the main entrance of Berat Castle. The walk is approximately 1 km and takes about 15-20 minutes at a leisurely pace. Be aware that the cobblestones can be uneven and slippery, so wear comfortable shoes. There is also a shortcut available about halfway up the road, though it involves a steep, zig-zagging climb.
