Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Pogradec. Head northwest on Rruga e Pogradecit towards Rruga e Dajlani. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with SH4. Turn left onto SH4 and follow the signs towards Ohrid. After approximately 10 km, you'll reach the border with North Macedonia. After crossing the border, continue on the same road (now known as Rruga e Dajlani) for about 15 km until you reach Ohrid. Once you're in Ohrid, follow the signs for the city center. You can park in one of the designated parking areas near the waterfront. The Ohrid Boardwalk is just a short walk from the parking area.

  • Public Transportation

    For those opting for public transportation, you can take a bus from Pogradec to Ohrid. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Pogradec. The bus ride takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic and border crossing times. Once you arrive at the Ohrid bus station, exit the station and make your way to the city center. You can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a taxi (which should cost around 200 MKD). The Ohrid Boardwalk is located near the lake, and you can ask locals for directions if needed.

    If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Pogradec to Ohrid. The trip will take about 30 minutes and will cost approximately 1,500-2,000 ALL (Albanian Lek). Ensure to confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey. The taxi will drop you off close to the city center, from where it’s an easy walk to the Ohrid Boardwalk.
