The area is steeped in history, with the 19th-century Mon Repos Palace nearby, where Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was born. The palace was built in 1826 by British Commissioner Frederic Adams as a gift to his Corfiot wife, Nina Palatianou. After the union with Greece in 1864, the villa and gardens were gifted to King George I of the Hellenes, who renamed it "Mon Repos" (French for "My Rest").
Visitors can enjoy swimming in the clear blue waters, sunbathing, or taking leisurely strolls along the coastline. From Corfu Town, head to the main bus station located near the port or San Rocco Square. Take bus number 2A, which heads towards Kanoni. The bus stop is right in front of the entrance gate on Emmanouil Theotoki Street. The journey takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Bus tickets cost approximately €1.10 - €1.80 if purchased at a kiosk or on the bus.
Taxi
If you prefer a more comfortable option, take a taxi from anywhere in Corfu Town. Tell the driver you want to go to ROYAL BATHS MON REPOS (Βασιλικά Λουτρά Μον Ρεπό). The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. A taxi from Liston in Corfu Old Town costs around €15.
