Walking
Saranda's city center and promenade are easily walkable. From the ferry terminal, the main public beach and many hotels and restaurants are within a 10-15 minute walk. Be aware that some streets can be steep due to the city's hillside location. Walking along the promenade is a great way to explore the city and enjoy the coastal views.
Public Transport
Local buses and minibuses (furgons) are a budget-friendly option for reaching destinations outside the city center. The bus station is located around Friendship Park. A ride to Butrint costs approximately 150 lek. Buses to Ksamil also depart from this area. Look for signs in the bus windows indicating the destination.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Saranda, especially near the port and main square. They are a comfortable and reliable way to get around, particularly if you have luggage or are traveling longer distances. A taxi from the city center to Lëkurësi Castle, located on a hilltop, will cost approximately 500 lek. Always confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
