Saranda View: A Panoramic Vista of the Albanian Riviera

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Saranda, head towards the seafront promenade, known as 'Sheshi i Sarandes'. Walk along the promenade, enjoying the views of the Ionian Sea. Continue walking east towards the main road (Rruga Mitat Hoxha). At the end of the promenade, turn left onto Rruga Mitat Hoxha. Follow this road for about 600 meters, passing by several cafés and shops. After 600 meters, turn right onto Rruga Kater i Bregut. Walk for another 400 meters until you reach a small hill. Saranda View is located at the top of this hill, offering stunning views of the city and the sea.

• Taxi

  Taxis are readily available in Saranda. You can hail a taxi on the street or find them at taxi stands near the port, Nëne Tereza Square, or close to Hotel Butrinti at the southern end of the promenade. Agree on the price before getting in, as most taxis don't use meters. A short taxi ride within the city center typically starts around €10. From the city center, a taxi to Saranda View will cost approximately €10.

• Public Transport

  The local bus is a budget-friendly option. The bus station is near Friendship Park (Parku Miqësia). While there are no specific bus stops directly at Saranda View, you can take a bus that travels along the main road (Rruga Mitat Hoxha) and get off at a convenient point to walk the remaining distance up Rruga Kater i Bregut. A single bus fare within Saranda is around 150 lekë.
