Getting There

    From Berat, take the SH72 road towards the Tomorr Mountain area, approximately 30 kilometers away. Follow signs for Tomorr Mountain, passing through the villages of Banjë and Tërpan. Continue to the Tomorr National Park entrance, where a small entrance fee (around 100 ALL) may be required. Proceed towards the Tomorr Mountain trailhead, where parking is available. Note that a 4x4 vehicle is advised for the final ascent to the southern summit.

    Take a bus from Tirana to Berat (400-600 ALL). From Berat, take a local minibus or taxi to the Tomorr Mountain area (approx. 200 ALL by Minibus). After arriving at the Tomorr National Park entrance, hike or arrange for a local guide to reach Maja e Tomorrit. Be prepared with proper gear and water for the challenging hike.

Located east of Berat and Poliçan, it dominates the landscape with its solitary presence. The mountain is central to Albanian folklore and is considered sacred by locals, with legends describing Baba Tomorr, a mythical giant, embodying the mountain. The mountain's southern summit is accessible by car and is the site of the mausoleum of Abbas Ali, attracting thousands of Bektashi pilgrims annually between August 20 and 25.
