Tyrbe e Abas Ali Tomorit: A Sacred Shrine

Today, it's believed he returns to Mount Tomorr for five days each year (August 20–25), during which animal sacrifices are made and homage is paid. During this annual pilgrimage, the site draws Bektashi followers, Muslims, and Christians from Albania, the Albanian diaspora, and around the world. The mausoleum lies adjacent to the Bektashi tekke on Mount Tomorr, initially built in 1916.
