Walking
From anywhere in the Casbah, the Great Mosque is easily accessible on foot. Navigate through the district's narrow, winding streets towards Rue El Mourabitoune. Comfortable shoes are recommended due to the cobblestone paths and inclines. As you approach the mosque, its impressive structure will become visible.
Public Transport
If arriving by public transport, take the bus or metro to a central station in Algiers. From there, transfer to a local bus (such as bus number 23 or 15) that heads towards the Casbah. Alight near the Casbah and follow signs or ask locals for directions to Rue El Mourabitoune. Bus fares are typically very affordable, costing approximately DZD 20. Keep in mind that bus schedules may vary, especially on weekends.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Algiers. Request a ride to the Great Mosque in the Casbah (Rue El Mourabitoune). Ensure to negotiate the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
