Getting There

  • Bus

    From the center of Tizi Ouzou, go to the main bus station (Gare Routière de Tizi Ouzou), near Place de la Révolution. Look for buses heading towards 'Tikjda' or 'Bouira'. The bus ride takes about 1 hour. Inform the driver of your destination, Tikjda National Park, so they can drop you at the closest stop. Bus fare is approximately 100-200 DZD.

  • Shared Taxi

    At the Gare Routière de Tizi Ouzou, you can find shared taxis (taxi collectif) heading to Tikjda. Look for taxis with 'Tikjda' displayed. These taxis are smaller and take a slightly faster route, about 45 minutes. Ensure you share the taxi with other passengers to reduce the cost. The taxi fare is around 300-500 DZD per person.

    From Algiers, take the A1 highway east towards Bouïra. Then, take the N33 road south towards Tikjda National Park. The drive is approximately 135 km and takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes. Parking is available near the park entrance. Expect to pay around 100 DZD for parking.
