Flight and Local Boat
To reach Ofu Beach, begin by flying into Pago Pago International Airport (PPG) on Tutuila Island. From there, take a domestic flight via Samoa Airways to Ofu Island. Flights cost approximately $155 each way and last about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once on Ofu, transportation options are limited. There are no taxis or car rentals available. The most common way to get around is by biking or riding in the back of a truck. You may need to arrange transportation in advance through your accommodation or local contacts. Alternatively, travelers can take the MV Manu'atele cargo boat from Pago Pago to the Manu'a Islands. The boat travels every two weeks and costs $30 each way. The journey takes about eight hours. From the Manu'a Islands, you may need to take a local boat to Ofu.
