Air Travel
The primary way to reach Ofu Beach is by flying to Pago Pago International Airport (PPG) on Tutuila Island. From there, Samoa Airways offers flights to Ofu Island's small airport (OFU). Flights are limited and can be subject to delays, so flexibility is key. Once on Ofu, the beach is accessible by walking or arranging a ride with your accommodation. A roundtrip flight from Pago Pago to Ofu typically costs between $165 and $195. There are no car rentals available.
Boat
Alternatively, a government-operated ferry, MV Manu'atele, travels between Pago Pago and the Manu'a Islands approximately every two weeks. The ferry ride takes about 8 hours and costs $15-$30 each way. From the Ofu harbor, you'll need to walk or arrange local transport to Ofu Beach. Check the Pago Pago Port Authority for the ferry schedule.
Walking
From Ofu Airport, Ofu Beach is approximately a 10-minute walk to the western edge. If you are staying at the Vaoto Lodge, the beach is conveniently located within walking distance. From Asaga Inn, the walk to Ofu Beach is about 20 minutes.
