Getting There

Walking
From the center of Tafuna, head north on the main road (Route 1) towards Vailoa. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Vailoa. Take a left turn onto Vailoa Road. Keep walking straight for approximately 1 kilometer until you see signs for Cape Tapaga. Follow the signs, which will lead you to a trail entrance. The trail is about 500 meters long and may have some uneven terrain, so wear appropriate footwear.

If you have rented a bike, start from the Tafuna Post Office and ride north on Route 1. Continue for about 2 kilometers. When you reach the intersection with Vailoa Road, turn left. Continue for about 1 kilometer. Look out for the signs indicating Cape Tapaga on your right. When you reach the trailhead, secure your bike at the designated bike rack before proceeding on foot down the trail to the cape.

For a more adventurous route, from Tafuna, head towards the hills behind the town. Locate the hiking trail that leads towards Vailoa. This trail will take you through some beautiful scenery. Once you reach the lower sections of Vailoa, join Vailoa Road and follow the previously mentioned route to Cape Tapaga. The total hike will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
