Getting There

  • Walking

    Refugi Borda de Sorteny is accessible by foot from the Sorteny Natural Park car park. From the car park, follow the well-marked trail for approximately 30 minutes (1.5 km) uphill to reach the refuge. The path is generally easy to navigate and offers scenic views of the valley. Note that the entire route is a steady incline.

  • Public Transport

    To reach the Sorteny Natural Park by public transport, take the L6 bus from Andorra la Vella to Ordino. From Ordino, transfer to the local parish bus that serves Sorteny. This bus operates from July 1st to early September with departures every 30 minutes from 9:00 to 18:30. The bus will drop you off at the Sorteny Natural Park car park, from where you can walk to the refuge (30 minutes). The bus fare from Ordino to Sorteny is €0.20 per person.

  • Taxi

    From Ordino, you can take a taxi to the Sorteny Natural Park car park. From there, you can walk to the refuge (30 minutes). Taxi fares from Ordino to the Sorteny Natural Park car park are approximately €11.50, as it is an intercity fare. Keep in mind that you will need to arrange for the taxi to drop you at the car park, as they cannot drive directly to the refuge.

  • Parking

    If driving, follow the CG-3 towards Ordino-Arcalís. After passing through El Serrat, turn right at the signposted junction for Sorteny. Continue on this road to the Sorteny Natural Park car park. From July to August, there is a parking fee of €4 for cars and €2 for motorcycles, payable between 9:00 and 16:30. Outside of these months, parking is free. From the car park, it is a 30-minute walk to the refuge.
