From the center of Codrington, head north along the main road, Valley Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Sir George Walter Highway. At this intersection, you will see signs pointing toward St. John's and the VC Bird Monument. Cross the road carefully, and continue walking straight on Valley Road for another 2 kilometers. The VC Bird Monument will be on your right, just before reaching the outskirts of St. John's. Look for the large monument and the small park area around it.
