If you're traveling by car from the Andean Northwest region, you will generally head east towards the city of Posadas. From there, take Route 12 towards the town of Puerto Iguazú. Once you reach Puerto Iguazú, continue on Route 101, which is well-signposted, until you arrive at the entrance of Iguazú National Park. The total driving distance is approximately 1,200 kilometers, and it may take around 15-17 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Be prepared for tolls along Route 12.

For those opting for public transportation, you can take a bus from major cities in the Andean Northwest, such as Salta or Jujuy, to Puerto Iguazú. Companies like 'Flecha Bus' and 'Crucero del Norte' offer services to Puerto Iguazú with comfortable seating. The bus journey can take approximately 20-24 hours, so plan accordingly. Upon arriving in Puerto Iguazú, you can take a local taxi or a shuttle service to the park entrance, which is about 10 km away. Expect to pay around ARS 500-800 for the taxi ride.

Train and Bus Combination
Though there is no direct train to Iguazú National Park, you can take a train from Salta to Posadas. Once you arrive in Posadas, transfer to a bus heading to Puerto Iguazú. The train ride will take approximately 12 hours, and the bus ride from Posadas to Puerto Iguazú will take an additional 5 hours. Upon reaching Puerto Iguazú, you can use a taxi or shuttle service to the park entrance, which will cost around ARS 500-800.
