Getting There

Walking
From the Iguazú National Park entrance, take the Ecological Jungle Train to the Cataratas Station. From there, follow the signs for the Lower Trail (Circuito Inferior). The walk to Salto Álvar Núñez is approximately 1.7 km (1.1 miles) along well-maintained boardwalks and paths with stairs. Allow about 1-2 hours to complete the Lower Trail, including time to enjoy the falls. Park entrance fee is approximately ARS 3000 for foreign tourists, and the train is included in the park entrance fee.

Public Transport
Take a bus from Puerto Iguazú to the entrance of Iguazú National Park (approximately ARS 200-300). Once inside the park, transfer to the Ecological Jungle Train to Cataratas Station. From there, follow the walking directions for the Lower Trail to Salto Álvar Núñez. The bus journey from Puerto Iguazú takes around 30 minutes. Remember to check the bus schedule in advance.
