From Puerto Iguazú, take a bus to the entrance of Iguazú National Park. Buses depart frequently from the Terminal de Ómnibus de Puerto Iguazú. The bus fare is approximately 1,200-5,500 ARS. Once inside the park, purchase your entrance ticket (approximately 800 ARS for foreigners, but check for current pricing). Take the park's Ecological Jungle Train to Cataratas Station. From there, follow the signs for the Lower Circuit (Circuito Inferior), which includes a walk with stairs to Chico Alférez Waterfall. Allow approximately 30 minutes for the hike.

From Puerto Iguazú, a taxi to the entrance of Iguazú National Park will cost approximately 16,000-20,000 ARS and take around 25 minutes. From the park entrance, follow the directions as above, purchasing your park entrance ticket (approximately 800 ARS) and taking the Ecological Jungle Train to Cataratas Station. From there, follow the signs for the Lower Circuit (Circuito Inferior) to Chico Alférez Waterfall.

While walking directly from Puerto Iguazú to Chico Alférez Waterfall isn't feasible due to the distance and location within the National Park, you can walk within the park itself.
