Discover more about Tres de Febrero Park

Parque Tres de Febrero, often called Bosques de Palermo, is one of Buenos Aires' most beloved green spaces, providing a refreshing contrast to the city's urban landscape. Spanning approximately 400 hectares in the Palermo neighborhood, the park offers diverse attractions and activities for locals and tourists alike. Inaugurated in 1875, the park commemorates the Battle of Caseros on February 3, 1852, a pivotal event in Argentine history that led to the defeat and exile of Governor Rosas. The park's original design was conceived by urbanist Jordán Czeslaw Wysocki and architect Julio Dormal, with subsequent expansions and beautification led by French Argentine urbanist Carlos Thays. The park features several lakes where visitors can rent pedal boats, a rose garden (El Rosedal) with over 8,000 roses from 93 species, and the Galileo Galilei Planetarium. The Rosedal also includes an Andalusian patio donated by Seville, Spain, and a Poets' Garden with busts of literary figures like Jorge Luis Borges and William Shakespeare. Other attractions include the Eduardo Sívori Museum and numerous sculptures, such as a Little Red Riding Hood statue. The park is a hub for recreation, with walking and cycling paths, and spaces for picnics and sports. It's a place where visitors can unwind, exercise, and connect with nature.
