The bus will drop you off at the El Chalten bus terminal, which is centrally located and within walking distance of most accommodations and trailheads.

    Taxi

    Taxis are available from El Calafate to El Chalten, but this is a significantly more expensive option. A taxi ride from El Calafate to El Chalten typically costs around $200 USD. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours. Within El Chalten, taxis can be used to reach trailheads located further from the town center, such as Hosteria El Pilar. A taxi from El Chalten to Hosteria El Pilar costs approximately $1000-1300 ARS and takes around 28 minutes.     Walking
