The final ascent involves navigating rocky terrain and potentially snow patches. Note that as of November 2024, there is an entrance fee of 45,000 ARS for international visitors to access the trails in El Chalten.

From El Calafate, take a bus to El Chaltén. Several companies operate this route, with prices around 38,000 Argentinian pesos per person. Once in El Chaltén, you can either walk to the trailhead or take a remis to Río Eléctrico or Hostería El Pilar to shorten the initial walk. Remember to factor in the park entrance fee of 45,000 ARS for international visitors.
