Walking
From the north end of Avenida San Martín in El Chaltén, follow the Sendero al Fitz Roy trail. After approximately 5.3 kilometers (about 1.5 hours), look for a small, unmarked spur trail leading to the waterfall. The spur trail is about 150 meters from the main path. Listen for the sound of the cascading water as you approach.
Public Transport
Take a bus from El Chaltén towards Lago del Desierto or any nearby destination along Ruta Provincial 23. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the trailhead for Secret Waterfall. From there, follow the well-marked hiking trail towards Secret Waterfall. Bus fares from El Chalten to Lago del Desierto range from AR$35,000 to AR$40,000.
