From Cerro Tronador, head southwest towards the Route 40 (Ruta Nacional 40). Once you reach Route 40, turn right heading south. Continue on Route 40 for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 82. Turn left onto Route 82, which is also signposted for Lago Mascardi. Follow Route 82 for about 15 kilometers until you arrive at Lago Mascardi. The lake will be visible from the road, and you will find designated parking areas near the shore.

If you prefer to use public transport, first make your way to San Carlos de Bariloche. From Cerro Tronador, you will need to take a taxi or a guided tour service to reach Bariloche. Once in Bariloche, locate the bus terminal (Terminal de Ómnibus). From there, take a bus that heads towards Lago Mascardi, which is typically operated by local companies. The bus ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, and you should confirm the current schedule and fares at the terminal, as they can vary.
