Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of El Calafate, head south on Avenida del Libertador towards the coast. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Calle 24 de Septiembre. Turn left onto Calle 24 de Septiembre and continue straight for another 5 minutes. You will pass by several local shops and cafes. After you reach the end of Calle 24 de Septiembre, turn right onto Avenida Los Alamos. Follow this road for approximately 15 minutes. La mata de calafate will be located on your left at 185 Glaciar Upsala. Look for the cottage-style building; it is quite recognizable.

• Public Bus

  From the main bus terminal in El Calafate, take the bus heading towards Glaciar Upsala. The bus runs every 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you are going to La mata de calafate. The ride will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to 185 Glaciar Upsala. From the bus stop, it will be a short walk to your destination, which is just around the corner.

• Taxi or Ride-sharing

  If you prefer a quicker and more comfortable option, you can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing service. Simply request a ride to '185, Glaciar Upsala' in El Calafate. The ride will take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they know the location, as it is a well-known spot.
