Public Transport
From downtown Buenos Aires, the easiest way to reach El Galpón de Catalinas is by bus. Several bus lines, including the 152, travel to La Boca. Look for buses heading towards the "终点" (terminal stop) in La Boca. Get off near Av. Paseo Colón and walk a few blocks east to Av. Benito Pérez Galdós. A single bus fare costs approximately ARS 28-30, payable using a SUBE card. You can purchase and recharge SUBE cards at various kiosks and subway stations throughout the city. Since January 2025, you can also pay for subway rides with your credit card.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services are readily available throughout Buenos Aires. A taxi from downtown to El Galpón de Catalinas typically costs between ARS 5,500 and ARS 8,000, depending on traffic and the time of day. Be sure the driver uses the meter or agree on a fare beforehand. Ride-sharing apps like Uber and Cabify are also popular options. Note that prices may surge during peak hours.
Walking
If you're already in La Boca, walking to El Galpón de Catalinas is a great way to experience the neighborhood. From the Caminito, head east along Dr. Del Valle Iberlucea, then turn right onto Av. Benito Pérez Galdós. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes. Be aware of your surroundings and take necessary safety precautions, especially at night.
