Follow Route 234 for about 20 km until you reach the border with Chile. Note that there may be a small fee for crossing the border, so have some Chilean pesos ready. Once you cross into Chile, continue on Route 203 for about 35 km until you reach Curarrehue. From Curarrehue, follow the signs to Sendero Lagos Andinos, which is approximately 10 km away. The road may be unpaved, so proceed with caution.

For those opting for public transportation, take a bus from San Martín de los Andes to Temuco, Chile. The journey takes about 7 hours. Once in Temuco, you can catch a local bus to Curarrehue.
