Car
To reach Lanín by car from San Martín de los Andes, start by heading south on Route 40 (Ruta Nacional 40). Continue for approximately 35 kilometers. Look for the signs indicating the turn-off for Route 23 (Ruta Provincial 23) towards Aluminé/Lanín National Park. Follow Route 23 for about 20 kilometers, and then you will reach the entrance to the Lanín National Park, where you may need to pay an entrance fee (approximately ARS 300 per person, subject to change). Once inside the park, follow the signs leading you to Lanín, which is about a further 15 kilometers into the park.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from San Martín de los Andes to Junín de los Andes. Buses run regularly throughout the day, and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Junín de los Andes, you will need to transfer to a local bus or a taxi that heads towards Lanín National Park. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary. The local bus ride to the park entrance takes approximately 30 minutes, and the cost is around ARS 150. Entrance fees to Lanín National Park will also apply.
