Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the city of El Calafate, take Route 11 heading west for approximately 80 kilometers. You will pass through stunning Patagonian landscapes. Keep an eye out for signs to Los Glaciares National Park, as you will be driving near this beautiful area. Once you reach the junction with Route 40, turn left onto Route 40 heading south. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the entrance to Patagonia Profunda located at Ushuaia 200, Z9405 El Calafate, Santa Cruz. Make sure to have a GPS or a map handy as some areas may have limited cellular service.

• Public Transportation - Bus

  From El Calafate, you can take a bus to Patagonia Profunda. Several bus companies operate daily routes. Head to the main bus terminal in El Calafate and look for buses heading toward El Chaltén. You will need to inform the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Patagonia Profunda, which is typically at the junction with Route 40. The bus ride takes about 3 hours and costs approximately ARS 800-1200. After disembarking, it's about a 30-minute walk to the destination, so carry your luggage comfortably.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or using a rideshare service from El Calafate to Patagonia Profunda. The journey will take around 1 hour and costs approximately ARS 3000-5000 depending on the service and time of day. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey. This option provides a comfortable ride directly to your destination without the need for transfers.
