From the center of Quebrada de Humahuaca, head northwest on Route 9 (Ruta 9) towards the town of Humahuaca. Continue for about 26 km until you reach the town of Tilcara. Just after Tilcara, look for the sign indicating the turnoff for the Hornocal viewpoint. Follow the dirt road, which is well-marked, for about 15 km. The Garita de Ingreso al Mirador del Hornocal is located on this road, where you will find a small entrance fee booth. Please note that there is an entrance fee of approximately 200 ARS per person.
