Getting There

  • Driving

    From Humahuaca, take Ruta Provincial 73 towards the Serranías del Hornocal. The drive is approximately 24 km on a gravel road. The road ascends from 3,000 meters to over 4,000 meters above sea level. The drive takes around 45 minutes, but allow extra time for photo stops. There is a small entry fee per vehicle to access the viewpoint. Be aware that the road is unpaved and can be bumpy.

  • Public Transport

    From the bus station in Humahuaca, you can find 4x4s that will take you to the viewpoint. These typically leave at 10 am, 12:30 pm, 3 pm, and 5 pm. Alternatively, you can find drivers around Plaza 25 de Mayo. The cost is approximately $8 USD per person for the ride, plus a small entry fee. The journey takes around 45 minutes.
