Discover more about Plaza Buratovich

Plaza Buratovich, located in the Echesortu neighborhood of Rosario, Argentina, provides a refreshing green space for locals and tourists alike. Bounded by Cafferata, 3 de Febrero, San Nicolás, and 9 de Julio streets, the plaza offers a variety of features, including playgrounds and a sports area. The plaza has a history dating back to 1924 when it was inaugurated in the newly created Barrio La Victoria. The neighborhood was named in honor of Victoria Ansaldi, wife of Mayor Santiago Buratovich, for whom the plaza is named. Originally, the area was known as the "Vizcachera de Doña Luciana," essentially a garbage dump. Over the years, Plaza Buratovich has been renovated several times, adapting to the needs of the community. A notable feature is its large fountain, originally from England and previously located in Plaza Sarmiento. The fountain was initially intended to provide water to the population. Facing the plaza are the Parroquia San Miguel Arcángel (a parish) and Club Echesortu, a popular local club. The plaza provides a lively atmosphere with the sounds of laughter and play. Various sculptures and art installations add a cultural touch to the natural beauty, making it a great spot for photography.
