Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from Ushuaia. Drive north on Av. Maipú, then take the right onto Av. San Martín. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Ruta 3. Turn left onto Ruta 3 and follow the signs toward Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego. After about 7 km, take the exit toward El Martial. Follow the road as it winds up the mountain until you reach the El Martial parking area. Note that parking may incur a fee, so be prepared with cash.

• Public Transportation

  To reach El Martial using public transportation, start at the main bus terminal in Ushuaia. Look for the bus service that operates toward El Martial; these buses usually depart several times a day. The bus will take you directly to the trailhead. The fare is typically around 150-200 Argentine Pesos. Ensure you check the schedule on the day of your visit, as it can vary. Once you arrive at the stop, follow the path that leads up to the viewing area of El Martial.

• Hiking

  If you're feeling adventurous and prefer to hike, you can start from the El Martial parking area. The trail begins here and is well marked. It takes about 1-2 hours to reach the viewpoint, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes and bring water and snacks, as the route can be steep and challenging. The scenic views along the way are well worth the effort!
