Public Bus
From downtown Chandler, head to the nearest bus stop on Arizona Avenue. Board Valley Metro Bus Route 120, which heads towards Phoenix. You will ride for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop at the intersection of Arizona Avenue and Ray Road. From there, walk north on Arizona Avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach the Arizona Canal. It will be on your right.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in downtown Chandler. Head west on Chandler Boulevard until you reach Arizona Avenue. Turn right (north) on Arizona Avenue and continue for approximately 2 miles. The Arizona Canal will be on your left side. Be sure to follow bike lanes where available for safety.
Walking
If you are close to downtown Chandler, you can walk to the Arizona Canal. Start at the Chandler City Hall and walk east on Chandler Boulevard for about 1 mile. Turn north on Arizona Avenue and continue walking for another half mile. The canal will be on your left side. This is a pleasant walk, and you can enjoy the local scenery along the way.
