    To get to the Phoenix Zoo from Chandler, you can take the Valley Metro Bus Route 104. Start by walking to the nearest bus stop servicing the 104 line. If you are at the Chandler Fashion Center, head to the bus stop located at the intersection of Chandler Blvd and Arizona Ave. Board the bus heading towards 'Phoenix'. Stay on the bus for approximately 40 minutes, and get off at the stop near 'McDowell Rd & Galvin Pkwy'. From there, it's a short 5 to 10-minute walk to the zoo. Follow Galvin Parkway north until you reach the zoo entrance.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local shop in Chandler. Once you have your bike, head north on Arizona Ave until you reach the intersection with McDowell Rd. Turn left on McDowell Rd and continue for about 4 miles. When you reach Galvin Parkway, turn right and bike for another half-mile until you see the entrance to the Phoenix Zoo on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.

    If you’re up for a walk, start from downtown Chandler. Walk north on Arizona Ave until you reach East Ray Rd. Turn left on Ray Rd and continue until you reach South 48th St. Turn right on 48th St and walk until you reach McDowell Rd. From there, continue walking east until you reach Galvin Parkway, then turn left. Walk straight and you will see the Phoenix Zoo entrance. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
