Walking
Start at the downtown area of Flagstaff, particularly at the intersection of Route 66 and San Francisco Street. From here, head north on San Francisco Street until you reach the intersection with Cedar Avenue. Turn left onto Cedar Avenue and continue walking until you reach North Fort Valley Road. Turn right onto North Fort Valley Road and walk approximately 1.5 miles. Look for the signs that indicate the trailhead for Fatman's Loop Trail, which will be on your left side.
Public Transit (Bus)
From downtown Flagstaff, you can take the Mountain Line bus (Route 10) toward the 'Fort Valley' direction. Board the bus at the nearest stop on Route 66. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at North Fort Valley Road and US-89. Once you get off, walk north along US-89 for about a quarter of a mile, and the entrance to the Fatman's Loop Trail will be on your right.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from downtown Flagstaff and ride north on San Francisco Street. After you reach Cedar Avenue, turn left and continue to North Fort Valley Road. Once you reach North Fort Valley Road, turn right and bike north. Continue until you see the entrance to Fatman's Loop Trail on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
