Start at the Flagstaff Visitor Center located at 1 E Route 66, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. From the Visitor Center, head east on Route 66 for about 0.5 miles until you reach North San Francisco Street. Turn left onto North San Francisco Street and continue for approximately 0.3 miles. At the intersection with East Butler Avenue, turn right and walk along Butler Avenue for 1 mile. You'll pass several shops and eateries along the way. After 1 mile, turn left onto North El Paso Flagstaff Road. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles, and you will see the Picture Canyon Natural and Cultural Preserve entrance on your right.

Begin your journey at the Flagstaff Downtown Connection. Rent a bike from a local shop if you don’t have one. Head east on Route 66 for about 0.5 miles, then turn left onto North San Francisco Street. Continue on San Francisco Street until you reach East Butler Avenue, then turn right.
