From downtown Flagstaff, head to the nearest bus stop. Take the Mountain Line bus (Route 10) towards the Flagstaff Mall. Ride until you reach the stop at the Flagstaff Mall. Transfer to Route 66 (check the latest schedule for the exact times) which will take you towards Oak Creek Canyon. The bus will take you along AZ-89A, and you will need to get off at the Oak Creek Vista stop. From the bus stop, follow the signs to the Oak Creek Vista viewpoint.

Bicycle
Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Flagstaff. Start your ride heading south on Milton Road until you reach Route 66. Take a left onto Route 66 and continue to the intersection with AZ-89A. Turn right onto AZ-89A and follow it for approximately 14 miles. There are bike lanes along the way but be cautious of traffic. Once you reach Oak Creek Vista, you will find bike parking near the viewpoint.

Walking to Oak Creek Vista from Flagstaff is a long trek, approximately 14 miles one way, so it’s recommended only for those in good physical shape. Start by heading south on Milton Road, then take a left onto Route 66. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with AZ-89A. Turn right and walk along AZ-89A towards Oak Creek Canyon. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and stay hydrated. Once you arrive at Oak Creek Vista, enjoy the breathtaking views of the canyon.
