From the Sedona Main Street area, you can take the Verde Lynx public transit bus. Board the bus at the Sedona Main Street Park and Ride located at 2080 W State Route 89A. The bus will take you towards Oak Creek Canyon. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the most current times. You'll want to get off at the Oak Creek Canyon stop, which is about a 30-minute ride. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs leading to the canyon trails; it's a short walk to the main entrance of Oak Creek Canyon.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Sedona, such as Sedona Bike & Bean. Begin your ride by heading north on State Route 89A. The ride to Oak Creek Canyon is about 6 miles and offers beautiful views along the way. There are bike lanes available, but be cautious of traffic. Once you reach Oak Creek Canyon, find the designated bike parking area near the entrance to secure your bike while you explore the area.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can start your journey from the Sedona Main Street area. Walk north on State Route 89A, which is about a 3 to 4-mile trek to the entrance of Oak Creek Canyon. The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace. Be sure to stay on sidewalks where available and be cautious of traffic. Once you arrive at the canyon, you can explore the various trails and scenic viewpoints.
