Discover more about Tourist Home Flagstaff Cafe

Nestled in the heart of Flagstaff's Southside Neighborhood, the Tourist Home Flagstaff Cafe offers a unique dining experience steeped in local history. Built in 1926 by Basque sheepherder Jesus Garcia and his mother, it originally served as a boarding house for sheepherders who grazed their flocks in the area during the warmer months. The sheepherders built a handball court next to the boarding house, which is now a beautiful outdoor patio. After the sheepherding industry declined, the building fell into disrepair and was abandoned for nearly four decades. In 2014, cousins Scott and Kevin Heinonen renovated the historic structure, preserving its original exterior while creating a modern and stylish interior. Today, the Tourist Home is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, offering a menu of New American cuisine with a Southwestern twist. The cafe is known for its breakfast, lunch, and brunch options, locally roasted coffee, and brunch cocktails. With its extensive outdoor seating and a reputation for the best breakfast burritos in town, the Tourist Home is a Flagstaff favorite.
