From anywhere in Gilbert, head to the nearest Valley Metro bus stop. Take the Route 108 bus towards the Scottsdale area. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. Stay on the bus until you reach the Scottsdale Rd & Pinnacle Peak Rd stop. From there, transfer to Route 172 heading north. Get off at the stop closest to the Marcus Landslide Trail, which is located in North Scottsdale. Once you get off, follow the signs to the trailhead, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Gilbert. Start heading north towards the Greenfield Rd bike path. Follow the bike path until you reach the Arizona Canal Trail. Continue riding along the trail until you reach the northern part of Scottsdale. When you reach Pinnacle Peak Rd, turn right and continue cycling until you reach the Marcus Landslide Trail entrance. It should take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your cycling speed.

If you're up for a hike, start from downtown Gilbert. Walk towards the east until you reach the intersection of Gilbert Rd and Main St. From there, head north on Gilbert Rd until you reach the intersection with the Loop 202. Follow the pedestrian paths leading towards the northern neighborhoods. This route will take you through some residential areas with beautiful scenery. It is about a 2-hour walk to the Marcus Landslide Trail from downtown Gilbert, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
