From anywhere in Gilbert, locate the nearest Valley Metro bus stop. Take the Route 120 bus towards the Phoenix area. Transfer to the Route 72 bus at the intersection of Main St and Gilbert Rd. Ride the Route 72 bus until you reach the Scottsdale bus stop. From there, it's a short walk to the Scottsdale Historical Museum at 7333 E Scottsdale Mall.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Gilbert. Head north on Gilbert Rd towards the 202 freeway. Once you reach the 202, take the bike path along the freeway towards Scottsdale. When you reach Scottsdale, follow the signs directing you to Downtown Scottsdale. The museum is located at 7333 E Scottsdale Mall, which is easily accessible by bike.

If you are staying in downtown Gilbert, you can walk to the Scottsdale Historical Museum. Start at the Gilbert Town Square and head north on Gilbert Rd. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Main St; turn left. Follow Main St until you reach the intersection with Scottsdale Rd. Cross Scottsdale Rd and continue walking east until you arrive at 7333 E Scottsdale Mall.
