Public Bus
From Mesa, head to the nearest Valley Metro bus stop. You can take Route 30 towards Phoenix. Once you reach the transfer point at the Mesa Transit Center, transfer to Route 50. Stay on Route 50 until you reach the stop at Carefree Highway & Easy Street. From there, it's a short walk to 101 Easy St, Carefree, AZ 85377. Just follow Easy Street to the east until you reach the gardens.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing stations in Mesa. Start by heading north on the Greenway Trail, which connects to the Desert Foothills Scenic Drive. Follow this scenic route all the way to Carefree, and once you reach Easy Street, turn left and continue towards 101 Easy St, Carefree, AZ 85377.

To walk to the Carefree Desert Gardens, start at the Mesa Arts Center. Head northwest on Main St towards Center St. Turn left onto Center St and continue until you reach the bus stop at the Mesa Transit Center. From there, you can take a bus as described above or continue walking north until you reach Carefree. It will take approximately 2.5 hours to walk, so ensure you have water and sun protection.
