From Scottsdale, head to the nearest bus stop for Valley Metro Route 72. Board the bus heading towards 75th Ave & Cactus Rd. Ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the intersection of 75th Ave & Cactus Rd. Transfer to Route 186 and continue for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at Carefree Hwy & Cave Creek Rd. From there, it's a 15-minute walk east along Cave Creek Rd until you reach N Lava Ln. Turn left on N Lava Ln, and you will arrive at Cave Creek Regional Park.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Scottsdale. Start your ride heading north on Scottsdale Rd. Continue for about 4 miles until you reach the intersection with Carefree Hwy. Turn left onto Carefree Hwy and ride for approximately 5 miles until you reach Cave Creek Rd. Turn right onto Cave Creek Rd and proceed for about 2 miles until you see N Lava Ln. Turn left onto N Lava Ln to reach Cave Creek Regional Park.

Continue north on Scottsdale Rd until you reach the intersection with Carefree Hwy. From there, turn left and proceed west until you reach Cave Creek Rd. Turn right and continue walking for about 2 miles until you reach N Lava Ln. Turn left onto N Lava Ln, and you will find the entrance to the park.
