    If you are starting from downtown Mesa, walk to the nearest bus stop and take Valley Metro Bus Route 30 towards Phoenix. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the 'Central Ave & Southern Ave' stop. From there, transfer to Route 51 heading south. After about 10 minutes, disembark at 'Central Ave & Baseline Rd'. Walk south on Central Ave for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at South Mountain Park and Preserve, which will be on your right.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop in Mesa. Start by heading south on Mesa Dr until you reach Southern Ave. Turn right onto Southern Ave and continue until you reach Central Ave. Turn left on Central Ave and bike south for approximately 3 miles.
