Public Bus
If you are starting from downtown Mesa, walk to the nearest bus stop and take Valley Metro Bus Route 30 towards Phoenix. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the 'Central Ave & Southern Ave' stop. From there, transfer to Route 51 heading south. After about 10 minutes, disembark at 'Central Ave & Baseline Rd'. Walk south on Central Ave for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at South Mountain Park and Preserve, which will be on your right.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop in Mesa. Start by heading south on Mesa Dr until you reach Southern Ave. Turn right onto Southern Ave and continue until you reach Central Ave. Turn left on Central Ave and bike south for approximately 3 miles. South Mountain Park and Preserve will be on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay on designated bike paths wherever possible.

If you are close to downtown Mesa, consider walking. Head south on Mesa Dr until you reach Southern Ave. Turn right on Southern Ave and walk until you reach Central Ave. Turn left on Central Ave and continue walking south for about 3 miles. South Mountain Park and Preserve will be on your right. Be sure to stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes for the journey.
